Dev/Op Engineer (f:m)

For an international corporate company we are looking for you. Start asap. Work is located either in Salzburg or Vienna.

Your tasks

• Contribute to the development of a future-proof container orchestration platform, covering build, deployment and test automation as well as provisioning of infrastructure components in cloud environments
• Maintain the platform by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
• Design concepts, evaluate tools and technologies to improve every aspect of the container orchestration platform (incl. CI/CD pipeline)
• Drive adoption of best practices in platform health, testing, and maintainability
• Working as part of a delivery team with agility.

Minimum qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, a comparable technical education or equivalent practical experience
• Kubernetes (OpenShift, OKD) – 2+ years’ experience
• Configuration Management (Terraform, Ansible)
• Security (Practice with certification management, standard authentication mechanism)
• State-of-the art source code management, i.e. Git
• Strong scripting skills (ideally Python, Bash)
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with cloud concepts and -providers, virtualization and containers (preferably in AWS)
• Experience in Queuing systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, Pulsar)
• Experience in building and operating a CI/CD pipeline
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, architecture, and core technologies (such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, Routing, VPN)
• Developed communication and collaboration skills exhibited in complex operational settings
